Fitpool was one of the early social fitness platforms built with Flutter, bringing together athletes, personal trainers, and local sports communities in a single mobile application.

Our goal was to simplify discovery, communication, and activity planning while creating an interface that felt approachable despite the product's broad functionality.

The fitness industry offers countless apps for tracking workouts or booking training sessions, but very few combine discovery, communication, and community into one experience.

Fitpool set out to bridge that gap by enabling users to explore nearby activities, connect with coaches, organize events, and communicate through a unified platform.

As one of the earliest products developed with Flutter, the project also required careful consideration of cross-platform consistency and scalable interface patterns.

Challenge

Bringing together athletes, trainers, and local communities within a single mobile experience with different expectations and goals. The challenge was to organize complex functionality into a clear interface that encouraged discovery, communication, and engagement while keeping the experience simple, and easy to navigate.

Goals

Our goal was to create a seamless product that made discovering activities, connecting with trainers, and joining local communities feel effortless. At the same time, we established a scalable design foundation that ensured consistency, supported future product growth, and provided a polished cross-platform experience through Flutter.

Research & Strategy

Our research focused on understanding how people discover sports activities, connect with trainers, and engage with local communities. These insights helped define a product strategy centered on reducing friction, simplifying navigation, and making every interaction feel natural. Instead of treating fitness as an individual experience, the platform was designed to encourage meaningful connections while establishing a scalable foundation that could support future features and long-term product growth.

Search activities

The discovery experience was designed around location and simplicity.

Users can quickly browse nearby activities, filter by interests, and view essential information without unnecessary steps.

Outcome

Fitpool successfully combined multiple user journeys into one cohesive mobile experience.

The design established a scalable foundation for future product growth while making it easier for athletes, trainers, and communities to connect through sport.

The project also demonstrated the flexibility of Flutter for building polished cross-platform products during the technology's early adoption period.
