Motion should help people follow what changed. We want animation that supports the task and feels consistent with the product and brand.
Products and tasks
Microinteractions in product interfaces, transitions on the web, animated identities and illustrations, and lightweight assets for product communication.
Explore timing, easing and transitions that explain state changes, hierarchy or the relationship between interface elements.
Animate brand elements and supplied illustrations while preserving their visual language.
Prepare production assets and motion specifications, then review playback, looping, file weight and responsive use with the implementation team.
A strong sense of timing, composition and continuity, demonstrated through interface or brand animation.
An ability to explain what an animation communicates and how it responds to user input or changes in state.
Experience preparing assets for the web, including clean loops, export settings and a static or reduced-motion alternative.
Interactive tools such as Rive or Jitter, or motion implemented with CSS and a frontend animation library.
Illustration, 3D animation or documented motion principles that other designers and engineers can reuse.
A small selection of interface interactions and brand or illustration animations, shown in their intended context.
Include timing explorations or storyboards and explain why you chose the final movement.
Show at least one production handoff: export format, file weight, implementation notes and how the animation behaves with reduced motion.
Agree on the purpose of the motion with the product or brand designer, then test a small sequence before extending it.
Work with engineers on implementation constraints. Define the deliverables and review process for a future project before production starts.
